Patent activity and commercial licensing
Some of my research projects have led to direct deployment of the developed methodologies and software as part of the design pipelines of the industrial partners in question. Other interdisciplinary work packages, initiated with collaborators from engineering, aeronautics and medicine in particular, have resulted in patent filings and are currently the subject of commercial licensing discussions.
[p2] A. Castrejon-Pita, RC, E. Georgiou, L. Lim and M. Vatish, Needle and uses thereof (new double-lumen design based on fluid flow characteristics), filed with Oxford University Innovation and under review, 2019.
[p1] RC and D.T. Papageorgiou, Methods and apparatus for simulating liquid collection on aerodynamic components (targeting in-flight icing prevention capabilities and aircraft certification), filed with Imperial Tech and under review, ISR stage, 2018.
In case these are of interest in view of your own commercial activities or for future research/prototypes, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
